In times of crises…you fall to the level of your planning
Recently as you may have seen we had some bad news as a family. Work, working out, hitting goals etc had a take a back seat.
Thing was that because going into the negative situation I was super on top off everything – 2/3 weeks ahead, planning weekly, working towards key weekly targets…s*** did not hit the fan whilst I took 10-11 days away from it all.
The staff at the gym were excellent – members still loved their sessions, events were on track, newsletters went out, new members signed up and marketing and all emails was ahead of time and scheduled.
All my online coaching clients had their work in advance and didn’t miss anything other than a weekly Q&A.
Rather than worrying about working out, hitting MEPs and tracking calories I did the basics and walked a lot and made sure I got enough protein in when I could.
Rather than stressing about not being able to work at the same pace, I knew things were still moving forward.
Point being…
As rough as it sounds
You can’t expect things to not go bad for you
To not have unhappy times or days
For things not to happen to you you don’t expect
To expect to be happy all the time is a one way ticket to UNhappiness
What you can do..
> always be ahead of the game, on the front foot and expect the unexpected
> make planning on a Sunday for the week a ‘must’ rather than a ‘should’. Know what you’re stepping into a what’s required when you wake up.
> keep a level momentum going in tough times although it may not be perfect
That can be the difference between spinning plates, working hard, being busy without getting anywhere AND working smart. You don’t have to deal with reactive stuff as much and when it does happen you have waaay more capacity physically (and mentally) to deal with it.
That is a choice ^^
Fall to the level of your planning/baseline standards
Or just fall and hope for the best
I know what I’d rather
It’s these sort of Mindset Strategies I teach in my 90 Day Improve Coaching clients
An online based mindset program geared at getting you to shift perspective, improve your mindset and learn how to feel better about yourself
(we find it super easy to put ourselves down)
Currently 8 Weeks in to my first EVER intake and here is what a couple of the guys had to say so far:
”
Improve 😀
Having attended Dan’s ‘Mindset X’ event, and with what he spoke of resonating and the tasks set during the morning giving me 💡moments I knew I would benefit joining his program.
Dan is a natural at this. Completely transparent, honest, without judgement, very down to earth and has real life people skills and a lot of wisdom to share, while always treating people like an equal. Almost like you are talking to a trusted friend or family member.
The six weeks has honestly flown by. The structure of Dan’s course flows seamlessly, with weekly training recordings, inviting questions prior to a weekly live group zoom, always approachable with any questions too.
The journal provided is second to none. Simple, yet extremely effective taking just a few mins (am and pm) to complete and a weekly review. I have tried many, many journals, coaching, and goodness knows what to move the needle forward in all areas of my life and I can say with absolute certainty the last six weeks has seen the biggest improvement in ALL areas of my life. Family, relationships, kids, finance, health, outlook on life, my self talk, generally my happiness. Earlier this year I was incredibly low and had been for quite a while, finding it hard to do everything and struggling with life being honest.. This course Dan has transformed my quality of life, with no doubt. I can’t thank you enough Dan, and excited to see where the remaining weeks lead in terms of how I feel. Happiness and contentment in life are key, and Dan knows how to guide you to get to that point and beyond.”

I’m really enjoying my 90 day plan so far ,its touched all aspects of my life, health, business, self well being and family life.
I’ve learnt to be more confident with some simple lessons, mainly having a plan!! Before this I now realise i was meandering through things with no strategy for my goals and just hoping things would fall into place, now i set myself goals-some hard and some not so much but they are there to be ticked off the list, I’ve learnt that I cant do this all by my myself and some areas of my business are better with other people looking after them which gives me more time to concentrate on what im good at-ive learned that if you don’t do the hard work it wont happen and the rewards of getting it done drive you on to hit more targets!
My family life has improved by taking more time out of my business and having real quality time with the family-again planning ahead so we have something to look forward too, it’s changed me as a family man as I now know id rather make more memories with my wife and kids than think i wish id done that day away than get another test done on a weekend.
Lastly my attitude to health has grown with a better understanding that sometimes its not going to be 100% at the gym all the time, you need your rest, you need to hit different parts of the gym to improve everything overall, take more care of what’s going into your system and again having the good things in more moderation! Overall i feel like ive improved as a person and am looking forward to the next half where i can fine-tune all this even further. Small hinges swing big doors, i haven’t made huge differences to anything, just made better decisions and had a forward plan for all aspects of my life!”
